5/25/2018

Roane State Community College received an ambulance donation in the hopes of helping students studying in the school's EMS program.

Lifeguard Ambulance Service donated one if its ambulances to Roane State's Knoxville campus and students were already checking it out.

"It was really exciting that we are able to help the school do more training with their paramedic and EMT program," said Bernie Hayes, director of service with Lifeguard Ambulance. "They can also get in the back of an ambulances and be a patient and know what it's like to be strapped to a stretcher and transported from point A to point B."

This is the first time an ambulance service has donated an ambulance to a school in Knoxville.
